El Obispo de Quilmes y Presidente de Cáritas Argentina Carlos José Tissera se reunió con el papa Francisco en audiencia privada en Roma
Durante el encuentro, monseñor Tissera y el Santo Padre dialogaron sobre la realidad de la diócesis de Quilmes. Tras el encuentro, el titular de la Iglesia que nuclea los partidos de Florencio Varela, Berazategui y Quilmes transmitió a los fieles el saludo y bendición del Papa, quien “nos alentó a seguir nuestro camino sinodal, en el que podamos hacer carne las enseñanzas de la Exhortación suya «Evangeli Gaudium» (la Alegría del Evangelio)”, afirmó.
Monseñor Tissera comentó que el Papa recibió con alegría el libro de oraciones «Para una Iglesia en camino», conjunto de plegarias de monseñor Jorge Novak, y el documento de la Vicaría de Educación sobre la renovación pastoral en las escuelas de la diócesis de Quilmes, ambos editados en 2019.
El presidente de Cáritas relató también que dialogó con el Papa sobre la realidad del pueblo argentino y sobre la presencia de Cáritas en la mesa contra el hambre convocada por el gobierno nacional: “Francisco me animó en el servicio que Cáritas presta a la sociedad y se alegró con la incorporación de los jóvenes en la institución, para que con su creatividad renueven las comunidades”, reconoció.
Si bien el obispo de Quilmes concelebró con el Papa la misa del Domingo de la Palabra de Dios y el miércoles se saludaron en la Plaza de San Pedro, este encuentro privado estaba pautado desde el 23 de diciembre
