La oriunda de Quilmes se convirtió en una de las referentes del pop urbano latinoamericano, con más de 13 millones de seguidores en Instagram y casi 5 millones de suscriptores en YouTube. El meteórico ascenso en su carrera comenzó desde que lanzó su primer álbum, Animal, en 2019. Desde entonces colaboró con artistas de renombre como Tini, Cazzu, Duki, Khea, J Balvin y Bad Bunny, entre otros.

En el escenario del Times Square, la quilmeña demostró su talento y carisma, interpretando dos de sus éxitos más recientes: su nuevo hit "Piscina", que ya supera los 29 millones de reproducciones en YouTube (sólo en el video oficial de la cuenta de la artista), y "Corazón vacío", que acumula más de 180 millones de escuchas en Spotify. Con una energía contagiosa, la artista hizo bailar y cantar a la multitud, que la ovacionó al finalizar su presentación.

"Agradecida con la vida por todo lo que me toca vivir. Un sueño hecho realidad. Qué zarpado. Estoy feliz de estar hoy acá representando a Argentina, los amo. Les deseo mucha salud y amor", escribió María Becerra en sus redes sociales, junto a una foto suya en el Times Square. La cantante también expresó su orgullo de llevar el flow argentino a Nueva York, y agradeció a los organizadores por la oportunidad.

María Becerra no fue la única artista latina que brilló en el Times Square. También estuvieron presentes Manuel Turizo, Anuel y Christian Nodal, quienes deleitaron al público con sus respectivos géneros musicales. Otros artistas internacionales que participaron del evento fueron Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, Flo Rida y Sabrina Carpenter.
